2007: Played in 56 games as a sophomore, including 47 starts behind the dish and six as the designated hitter...lead the team in on-base percentage (.433) while ranking tied for third in walks (30) and fourth in batting average (.300)...has 14 multiple-hit games, including a season-best three at Southern Cal (2/23), vs. Louisiana-Lafayette (4/11) and against UAB in the Conference USA Tournament (5/24)...also has a pair of multiple-RBI contests...had a four-game hitting streak from March 25-30 when he hit .538 (7-for-13) with a double and an RBI...hit first career Division I home run vs. Siena (3/18) as part of a 2-for-3 day...also had doubles at USC (2/23), vs. Wright State (3/2), against East Carolina (3/30) and vs. UAB (5/24)...homered against Southern Miss in the C-USA Tourney (5/25).

Prior To Tulane: Spent the 2005 season at the University of Houston before transferring to San Jacinto College-North...redshirted his only season at UH due to injury suffered in high school...played for head coach Tom Arrington in 2006 as a redshirt-freshman at San Jacinto College-North where he hit .316 with six home runs and 35 RBI...helped lead the Gators to the Region XIV Championship and a third-place showing in the National Junior College Athletic Association World Series...in the NJCAA World Series, hit .307 (4-for-13) with three homers and six RBI while scoring six runs...two of his round-trippers came in an 18-17 victory over Broward CC in the quarterfinals.

High School: Four-year letterman at Deer Park High for head coach Ricky Crawford...ranked 35th best catcher in the country in 2004 by Prospects Plus...two-time first-team All-District 23-5A honoree...hit .350 with two home runs in an injury-shortened senior season...unanimous first-team All-District 23-5A selection as a junior after batting .411 with six home runs and 30 RBI...off the diamond, was a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta, and was listed in Who's Who Among American High School Students.
