High School: Four-year letterman at Northern Valley Regional High for coach Tim Byron where he saw time at third base, shortstop and on the mound...helped guide the Golden Knights to a combined 101-23 record as a prepster, winning the state sectional title as a junior, finished sectional and county-runner up as a sophomore and senior, and claiming the county championship as a freshman...earned all-league honors all four years, claiming second-team honors as a freshman and first-team recognition his final three seasons...set New Jersey state record with 181 career hits...named New Jersey Hitter of the Year and tabbed first-team all-state and all-county as a junior and senior...as a senior, hit .520 with four home runs and 31 RBI and went 10-0 with a 1.35 ERA and 64 strikeouts during his time on the mound...hit .560 with eight doubles, eight triples, eight home runs and 39 RBI as a junior...named second-team all-county as a sophomore after hitting .483 with 17 doubles, three homers and 31 RBI...hit .398 as a freshman...also played for the Bayside Yankees where he helped the club win the Premier Baseball National Championship in 2006 and 2007, and was named team MVP in 2006...off the diamond, was a member of the National Honor Society, served as class vice president and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
