2007: Appeared in 14 games out of the bullpen as a true freshman...ranked second among Tulane relievers in ERA (3.00) and tied for second in opponent batting average (.273) while tallying 11 strikeouts in 18.0 innings of work...did not factor into any decisions in 2007, but did pitch in seven victories...tallied a pair of multiple-strikeout games with two punches at Southeastern Louisiana (2/10) and vs. UNC-Asheville (3/7)...held opponents without a hit twice and did not allow an earned run on 10 occasions...longest outing of the year came at SLU when he scattered two singles and a walk in 3.1 innings of work...allowed just two extra base hits for the year while posting a 1.57 strikeout-to-walk ratio and a 5.50 strikeout-per-nine-inning average.

Summer Ball: Played for the McKinney Marshalls of the Texas Collegiate League in 2007...played in 10 games, including three starts, with a save and eight strikeouts in 18.2 innings of work.

High School: Three-year starter at Bellaire High for coach Rocky Manuel...helped the Cardinals post a combined 54-10 record over his final two prep seasons, earned All-District 21-5A honors both years...as a senior, posted a 7-3 rcord with a 3.00 ERA and 51 strikeouts in 46.0 innings...went 6-3 with a 3.50 ERA and 41 strikeouts while holding opponents to a .205 batting average in 37.0 innings of work as a junior... played for Kyle Chapman during summer 2006 and teamed with Bellaire and current Tulane teammate Hunter Johnson to help Team Houston win the 2000 Little League National Championship...maintained a 3.5 GPA during prep career.
