Record crowds turned out to Turchin Stadium for Tulane's Super Regional series against Rice - 13,963 fans turned out for the three games. Expanded seating gave even more fans the chance to witness Micah Owings' mastery on the mound in game two of the Supers. Crowd numbers were not the only thing that was high for the Super Regional, temperatures climbed well into the 90s all series.

Tulane's famous Grounds Krewe continued their exemplary work throughout the Super Regional. The scoreboard after Tulane stayed alive with a seventh inning run and a ninth inning explosion.
