Career
As a Senior (2003-04) As a Junior (2002-03): Ranked second on the team in field-goal percentage (.539). In league games only, averaged 8.7 points, on 57.3 percent shooting (second in the league), to go with 4.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.4 steals (team-best, eighth in C-USA). Improved his free-throw shooting from .491 as a sophomore to .625 as a junior. Started 24 straight games at small forward before coming off the bench on Senior Day against Southern Miss (3/8). Was hindered by a knee injury through the preseason and early regular season. Scored 17 points (7-of-11 shooting) to go with seven assists in the two C-USA Tournament games. Led the team with 25 dunks. Struck for 12 points on perfect 5-for-5 shooting in the loss to Southern Miss (2/22). Against Houston (2/4), scored 10 points and held Andre Owens to four points (10.9 below his average) on 2-of-12 shooting. Scored 15 points for the second straight game against East Carolina (2/1), while adding eight rebounds and five assists. Tallied a season-high 15 points (on perfect 7-of-7 shooting), five rebounds and five assists against UAB (1/25). As a Sophomore (2001-2002): Topped his freshman total in assists while cutting his turnovers by 25. Ranked 13th in C-USA in steals (1.45 per game). Scored just three points against Memphis (1/12), but added nine rebounds, three assists and two steals while holding Dajuan Wagner to 6-of-16 shooting. Tallied eight points with a team-high six assists against Houston (1/8), including a stretch with seven unanswered points which keyed a Wave comeback. Cracked double figures with 10 points, including a pair of highlight-reel dunks against Mississippi State (12/29). Scored a career-high 17 points with six rebounds and four steals against Centenary (11/20).
As a Freshman (2000-2001): Set the school record for starts by a freshman with 29. Scored in double figures 13 times. Averaged 34.4 minutes in the last 17 games. Scored a season-high 16 points against Houston (2/21). Scored 10 points (4-of-5 from the line) and had five assists in a career-high 41 minutes against South Florida (2/3). Clinched the win over Southern with a three-point play with 30 seconds to go which made it 79-75. Opened his collegiate career by starting against Nicholls State (11/17), scoring 13 points (on 6-of-7 shooting) and adding four rebounds, two assists, three steals, and a block.
Prep: A three-year starter at the Salisbury School in Salisbury, Conn. The 2000 Class B Player of the Year and one of only two Salisbury players to total 1,000 career points. Led team to a 23-5 record and a berth in the finals of the New England Championship Tournament. Rated the No. 16 small forward in the nation by FastBreak Recruiting service. Averaged 16.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists as a junior to earn all-New England honors. Helped Salisbury to a 17-9 record in 1999 for coach Chris Hinchey. Also earned all-New England honors as a sophomore, averaging 17.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists. An ABCD camp all-star in 1999. Personal: Born March 7, 1981, in Los Angeles, Calif.
