HIGH SCHOOL: A 1999 graduate of La Cueva High School, where he lettered in football and track. Earned all-district honors as a senior. Helped his team to the district championship in 1997. Played for Coach Mark Henry. Also helped the track team to back-to-back state championships as a state finalist in the discus.

PERSONAL: Stephen Mark Hedemann. Born January 5, 1981 in Los Angeles, Calif. The son of Mark and Kathy Hedemann. Majoring in civil engineering. Earned a spot on the 2000-2001 and 2001-2002 Conference USA Academic Honor Roll.
