2002: Redshirted the season.

High School: A four-year letterwinner for Coach Kevin Kent at Bishop Gorman. Was a three-year starter who rushed for 1,031 yards on 125 carries (8.2 yards per carry) with 12 touchdowns as a senior. Named all-state by Nevada Prep Report and also was selected the Offensive MVP of his team. Served as a captain for his Senior All-Star game as well. Registered a single-game best of 201 rushing yards with five touchdowns. Helped his team reach the playoffs in each of his four years, including the state semifinals as a junior. Also ran track for two years.

Personal: Born January 30, 1984 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The son of Jimmy Jones, Jr., and Billie A. Jones. Was named the prom king at his high school. Majoring in the humanities.
