Assistant Athletic Trainer Justin LeDuc, the head trainer for the Green Wave football team, begins his third season at Tulane in 2005. LeDuc's responsibilities include prevention and rehabilitation of injuries, and daily care of the school's football student-athletes. He directs the graduate assistants and student trainers who work with football, and communicates daily with the Tulane medical and coaching staffs.

LeDuc arrived in New Orleans after two years at Hartford, where he was a graduate assistant athletic trainer, working primarily with the men's soccer and women's softball programs.

Prior to that, he spent several years as an athletic trainer in private health care. From 1999-2001, he worked for HealthSouth in Avon, Conn. where he provided rehab services to patients who suffered orthopedic sports-related injuries. During that time, he also served as the head athletic trainer for Avon High School.

A native of Southington, Conn., he earned a bachelor's degree in health and fitness from Springfield College in 1995. LeDuc, a certified athletic trainer, is a member of NATA, CATS and the NSCA.
