TULANE: A two-year letterwinner and returning starter who has started seven of 23 games played... career defensive stats include 56 tackles (22 solo), 3.5 stops for lost yardage, one sack, three forced and one fumble recovery and one interception... begins fall drills as the starting middle linebacker.

2006: Started seven of 12 games and made 45 tackles (19 solo), including 3.5 stops for lost yardage, one quarterback sack, one forced fumble and one interception... earned honorable mention all-C-USA merits... notched nine stops and one tackle for lost yardage at UTEP... logged eight stops and forced a fumble at No. 8 Auburn... finished with seven tackles at Tulsa, and had six stops against both Marshall and UCF... picked off his first career interception at Marshall and forced one fumble vs. the Golden Knights.

2005: Played in 11 games as a true freshman, seeing action on special teams and at linebacker... recorded 11 tackles (three solo), including a career-high seven takedowns and two solo stops against Rice (11/12) in his first extended playing time at linebacker... recorded one tackle in the Southeastern Louisiana, Navy, Rice and Southern Miss contests.

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year starter at linebacker for Palmetto High who collected more than 400 tackles during his high school career... also picked off three passes... named to the all-Dade County 6A team as a senior and earned first team all-district recognition... established a single season high of 126 tackles as a senior... the Panthers advanced to the playoffs three times... served as a team captain during his junior and senior seasons and was the team MVP his senior year.

PERSONAL: A media arts major... born Evan Jamal Lee on September 20, 1986, in Miami, Fla.... the son of Barbara and Elton Lee.
