HIGH SCHOOL: A two-time first team TAPPS (Texas private schools) all-state squad offensive lineman, as well as an all-district honoree his junior and senior seasons... a second team all-Greater Houston selection in both 2003 and 2004... served as captain of his St. Thomas team as a senior... a three-year starter whose team reached the playoffs all three seasons as he played on the offensive and defensive lines... was listed as the No. 41 prospect in Texas by Texas Prep Magazine... also threw the shot put and the discus and won district titles in both events while qualifying for the state meet... an offensive tackle and standout student who "dominated the private school league" according to the Rogers Recruiting Service in Houston and featured on the cover of the Texas Football Magazine's section on private schools... was a member of the Eagle Ambassadors Club.
