TULANE: A returning letterwinner... begins fall drills as the No. 3 free safety.

2006: Played in the first eight games of the year, but missed the remaining four contests due to injury.

2005: Did not play; received a red-shirt season.

HIGH SCHOOL: A second team all-district choice at quarterback who also played H-Back and free safety for three years at Clear Brook High School... named the offensive MVP of his high school team and also won the award as the top offensive back... served as team captain his senior season as the team qualified for the 5A playoffs... on offense, carried 87 times for 412 yards to average 4.7 yards per rush and scored four touchdowns... threw for six scores while completing 29-of-77 passes for 537 yards... during his junior season, rushed 124 times for 487 yards (a 3.9 average) with eight rushing TDs, and passed for 520 yards and a pair of scores... also lettered one year in basketball and twice in track and field, where he was a member of the Clear Brook 4x100- and 4x200-relay teams and participated in the high jump, triple jump and long jump... won the district title in the triple jump and placed second in the long jump... was a member of the Honor Roll Society who has participated in Boy's State... earned the Leadership Award and was listed among "Who's Who in American High School Sports".

PERSONAL: Majoring in humanities... born Corey Andre Sonnier on March 9, 1987, in Germany... the son of Marshall and Carman Sonnier.
