Lindsey Shepard is a 6-1 middle blocker/outside hitter from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
"Lindsey is a very hard worker and is very serious about improving as a volleyball player," head coach Liz Kritza said. "She has experienced a good deal success as a multi-sport athlete. By focusing her efforts on a single sport, she will be able to use her athletic ability to excel will a full complement of volleyball skills."
"Adding Lindsey to this program provides us with some nice options in both the middle blocker and outside hitter positions. Lindsey is just hitting her upswing as far as her development as a volleyball player is concerned, because she is such a diligent worker both on the court and in the classroom, she has all the makings for a very successful collegiate career in a Green Wave jersey," Kritza added while announcing Shepard had signed a national letter of intent.

The Albuquerque Academy graduate was named the state of New Mexico's Female Student-Athlete of the Year her senior season...
Also named Senior Volleyball Student Athlete of the Year (for all divisions) and an All-Metro selection... Named The Albuquerque Tribune's 2006 & 2007 Female Athlete of the Year... Three-time All-District selection... Named Second Team All-State in 2006... Earned First Team All-Metro honors as both a sophomore and junior... Junior Olympic experience with the Albuquerque Juniors Club and was an AP Scholar, National Merit Scholar-Commended honoree, and a Natoinal Cum Laude Society member off the court... A three-sport athlete, Shepard also competed in track & field, as she was the two-time state champion in the 300-meter hurdles and a two-time state champion in the high jump, an event in which she set the new state record her junior and senior seasons... Her third sport was basketball, as she earned First Team All-State and All-Metro honors in 2007, and Second Team All-State in 2006.
