TAF Staff
Travis Goff was named Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs for Tulane Athletics in July 2007. In his role, Travis oversees development, marketing, ticket sales and operations, and communications for the department. In addition, he serves on the senior executive staff team for Tulane Athletics. Prior to this appointment, Travis served as Associate Athletic Director for Development at Tulane. Travis joined Tulane in February 2004 as a Development Officer and has been involved with three record-setting fundraising years for the department. Prior to joining the Green Wave staff, Travis worked in development for the University of Kansas Athletics Department. During his time there, he was involved in all facets of the Williams Educational Fund, the primary fundraising arm for Kansas Athletics. Travis is a 2002 graduate of the University of Kansas with a Bachelor's degree in journalism. In addition, he completed his Master's degree in Business Administration from Tulane University in August 2007. A native of Dodge City, Kansas, Travis lives in Uptown New Orleans.
Betsy Becker Laborde Betsy Becker Laborde is in her ninth year of service at Tulane Athletics. Betsy serves as Assistant Director of Athletics, taking on special projects for the Athletics Director and serving as an integral member of the Tulane Athletics development team. Betsy started at Tulane in 1999 as the Head Volleyball Coach before moving into administration in 2005. As Head Coach of Green Wave Volleyball, Betsy transformed a losing program into a perennial conference power, posting consecutive 20-win seasons and a regional ranking in 2003 and 2004. Betsy completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Catholic University in 1992, and earned her Master's of Education from the University of New Orleans in 1997. She was recently inducted to the Catholic University Hall of Fame. Betsy is a New Orleans native and lives in Uptown with her husband, Gary Lee Laborde, and their 8-year-old son, Becker.
Mike Harrington is in his second year with Tulane Athletics and his first year as Director of the Tulane Athletics Fund. In his current position, Mike oversees all aspects of the TAF annual giving program, including membership and benefits, the TAF Advisory Board, booster clubs, and TAF special events. Mike previously served as Assistant Director of Development for Tulane Athletics. In that role, Mike contributed to a record-breaking year for TAF as membership reached 2,210 members, eclipsing the previous record of 2,096 set in 2005. Prior to Tulane, Mike served as Athletics Development Associate at the University of Rhode Island and as a graduate assistant at the University of Kansas. Mike is a 2004 graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor's degree in English and a 2005 graduate of the University of Kansas with a Master's degree in athletics administration. Mike is a native of West Hartford, Connecticut and lives in Uptown New Orleans.
Brendan P. Hagerty Brendan Hagerty is currently in his first year with Tulane Athletics. As Development Coordinator, Brendan's responsibilities include coordinating fundraising operations as well as assisting with the development, planning, and staging of special events. Prior to Tulane, Brendan served as an intern and Development Assistant for the Wildcat Fund at Northwestern University. Brendan graduated from the University of Washington in 2004 with a Bachelor's degree in political science and communication and earned a Master's degree in Sports Administration from Northwestern University in 2007. Brendan is a native of Boulder, Colorado and currently resides in Uptown New Orleans.
